Getting a job at Tesla is probably prestigious and at the same time a humane thing to do. Of course, we are talking about a company that strives to make a difference in the world we know and to bring the better future right now.
CEO of Tesla company is Elon Musk.

Thinking about environment, electric cars are the solution we’ve been craving.

Being conscious about the air pollution, electric cars are the solution that our-better-selves are addressing to our-now-selves.
As they say, and we quote:
“Tesla’s mission is to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy”.
We hire the world’s best and brightest people to help make this future a reality.

So, considering their aspirations, we are not surprised that every year more than 500,000 job applications are sent to Tesla, but good thing to know is that the resume screening process isn’t automated and every single resume is reviewed by a human.

This company started with just 5 people on staff, and today there are over 30,000 employees worldwide. As a mission driven company, Tesla attracts people who strongly believe in what the company is doing.
Then it’s not a surprise that one of the most frequent interview questions is “Why Tesla”?

So, prepare yourself to provide clear and reasonable explanation that fits into company’s mission.

What is very important here is the way you think. During the interview you might be asked to assemble something, solve a problem or do a coding exercise. A perfect candidate is innovative, driven and a team player.

Willing to learn, test, improve and experiment is also something you should show as your skill.

If you are a graduate, it can help you solve some logical problems and tests faster, but if you are not a college person, don’t be afraid, because at Tesla it’s not about what a certification or a diploma says you can do, it’s about your ability and originality on the spot.

Having a different and unique way of thinking can provide you a
better chance of getting a job. It’s not your degrees, but your potential that counts.

Staying ambitious, open-minded and proactive is definitely something that Tesla cannot resist, so apply, do your best at the interview and occupy that position.
